Holy Cross Public School, Pandithitta is established on1st June 2005 as Unit of Holy Cross Educational and Charitable Trust, Managed and administered by the Religious Congregation of the Sisters of the Cross of Chavanod – France, which has its head quarters in Geneva, Switzerland . It is the first and the only affiliated CBSE School in Thalavoor Panchayath in kollam district, a fulfillment of a long-felt need of the locality of pandithitta. The school is under the religious jurisdiction of the Catholic Bishop of Punalur. Rt.Rev.mong. Vincent De Cruz the parish priest of Pandithitta was the motivator and mastermind behind this institution. The co-operation and prayerful support of Rt.Rev. Dr.Joseph Karil and Rt.Rev. Dr.Silvester Ponnumuthan, the then Bishops of punalur Dioces, and the tireless effort and hard work of Sr. Tessy Pulikkottil, Sr. Cyrilla Mattappally, Sr. Sheebs Mathew, Sr. Rani Joseph, Sr. Bobby Paul, nursed this school from its infancy to adolescents. It is on the period of growth in the hands of Sr.Vincy Jose the present Principal. The school got Affiliated to CBSE New Delhi (No. 930887) on 16.05.2012 to the level of High School. The school houses classes from kindergarten up to class ten both for boys & girls. The medium of instruction is English.
